About me

Brent Martin is a London-based photographer, photojournalist and blogger.

Born and raised in Sydney, Australia, to an English father and Australian mother, his first camera was a Russian-made Zenit 35mm SLR which his grandmother bought him as a birthday gift. Incredibly basic, it taught him the importance of good technical ability when taking photographs. He soon progressed to more advanced cameras and his love of photography grew.

Moving to London in 1996 with two degrees from Melbourne's Monash university under his belt (Economics and Law), Brent first worked in accounting before turning to law. He worked for a decade in criminal defence, before returning to his first love of photography.

His work has been published in the local and national press in the UK and stock image sites.
