A few years ago I found that I enjoyed taking photographs and, more importantly, other people appreciated some of the photographs that I took.
I started with a digital camera when 3 megapixels seemed decent and have bought better cameras when possible. I spent two years considering buying a DSLR, but knowing nothing about them, found it difficult to choose.
Just recently, having been advised and encouraged, I bought a Canon 550D. It knows more about photography than I do, but I'm enjoying what it can do.
