I've been photographing birds since 2001--a wonderful experience. And I take photos wherever I am--not necessarily birds. I was in Paris through March 2010, where we've been spending at least a couple of months for several years. Then we headed south, to spend a week in the Camargue (near Arles), afterward returning home to the middle of Massachusetts.

On my equipment(responding to many comments): for most of my bird shots, I use a 400 mm lens with a doubler (2x tele-extender). The camera's metadata records it as 800 mm--and blipfoto echos that--impressing many blippers, but it's not blipfoto's fault.
