Why Bundle?

There is an ancient puzzle called "The Ship of Theseus". The Athenians preserved Theseus' wooden ship by replacing each plank of wood as it decayed with a new plank. The question is, once all the planks have been replaced with stronger planks, is it the same ship or is it a different ship?

Philosophers through the ages have tussled with this issue: the neurons in the brain are replaced constantly through a single lifetime - does the brain remain the same brain? The cells in the body are replaced constantly (complete replacement every seven years?) - does the body remain the same body? Are mind and matter two completely separate entities or is there something that ties them together to give a sense of self?...
